Who Made This Stuff?
It doesn’t happen every time, but once in a while I’ll speak with a prospective client who’s done some homework and has reached a conclusion about which manufacturer’s equipment should be used on his or her watershaping project.
It’s nice that he or she is engaged in the process to that fine a level, but as I mention in the video linked below, it really isn’t an issue with which a homeowner needs to get involved because many suppliers offer products and systems that will get the job done with fair equivalency and comparable pricing.
From my perspective, it’s more important for the contractor to make equipment selections based not only on the performance considerations I talk about in the video, but also because he or she knows the local representatives of the various companies and is aware of which ones are most capable and supportive when it comes to getting big jobs done well.
That’s “inside” information a good contractor offers to all of his or her clients. With a bit of conversation, it should be possible to steer a homeowner in the right direction.
