Working with clients on complex projects of any size will sometimes require a designer to resort to intricate means of communicating how the work will look when it’s finished, sometimes well before ground is broken. As a case in point, designer Donovan Brown details here the wide range of techniques he had to use to show clients the scope of a grand renovation project for a Spanish Colonial-style estate in the hills of southern California.
